BRITAIN’S immigration and asylum laws were “unjust, inhumane, ignorant and thoughtless” the Bishop of Winchester told the House of Lords during the second reading of the UK Borders Bill 2007 on June 13.
However, the legislation proposed by the government, if not amended, would worsen the situation, Bishop Michael Scott-Joynt said. |
