Archbishop Rowan Williams, Canon Andrew Norman and Tanzanian bishops and lay leaders pose for a formal photograph outside the Universities’ Mission to Central Africa Cathedral in Zanzibar on Feb 18, 2007. This was the only group photo taken during the meeting. The primates declined to pose together for a group photo. During the Cathedral Eucharist, several Global South Primates also declined to receive the sacraments with Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori. A group photo had been scheduled following the Eucharist, and was on the day’s official agenda, but was called off after several primates made it known they would not participate.
